WHO ARE WE?
The Türkiye - Montenegro Solidarity Association is a well-established civil society organization founded with the aim of further strengthening the historical, cultural, and human ties between two long-standing friendly countries. Our association first began its activities as a platform in 2024 and, within a short period of time, became an active civil society actor in Bar, the beautiful coastal city of Montenegro.
Following two years of dedicated work, the organization officially gained its institutional identity in 2026, taking an important step toward becoming one of the strongest representatives of friendship between Türkiye and Montenegro. Today, our association continues its activities with determination as a recognized and respected institution in both Türkiye and Montenegro, serving as a bridge between the two countries.
Our Founding Story
Every great story begins with a small step. The Türkiye - Montenegro Solidarity Association was born as a platform in 2024 with the dream of building bridges of friendship between the two countries. This journey began in Bar, Montenegro, with small gatherings, cultural conversations, and solidarity networks. Over time, these gatherings grew, developed into projects, and the spirit of friendship between the two countries became stronger and brighter.
During our two years as a platform, we succeeded in becoming a voice for Turkish citizens living in Montenegro and citizens of Montenegrin origin living in Türkiye. We carried out pioneering initiatives in many areas, ranging from cultural events and educational projects to social solidarity and economic cooperation. Our transformation into an officially established association in 2026 was the natural result of this strong determination and our growing community.
Our association works to preserve and strengthen the historical, cultural, and human ties between Türkiye and Montenegro and to build lasting bridges of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.

OUR VISION
Foreword
The strength of a civil society organization is measured not only by what it accomplishes today, but also by the dreams it builds for tomorrow. As the Türkiye - Montenegro Solidarity Association, our vision is to go beyond the long-standing friendship between the two countries and transform that friendship into an institutional, sustainable, and exemplary model of cooperation. We aim to ensure that the bonds between Türkiye and Montenegro remain a strong legacy not only for today, but also for future generations.
1. Becoming a Symbol of Lasting Friendship and Cooperation
The cornerstone of our vision is to become a tangible, visible, and lasting symbol of relations between Türkiye and Montenegro. This means that our association will serve not merely as an institution, but as a living representation of the friendship, affection, and solidarity between the two countries.
- Representation and reputation: Our association aims to become a recognized and trusted institution in both Türkiye and Montenegro, working in cooperation with the official institutions of both countries. It will represent Turkish-Montenegrin friendship on international platforms.
- Physical and cultural legacy: In the years ahead, we aim to establish a "Turkish-Montenegrin Cultural House" or "Friendship Museum" reflecting the shared history and cultural richness of the two countries. This venue will serve as a meeting point where works by artists from both countries can be exhibited and joint events can be organized.
- Annual friendship summits: An annual "Türkiye-Montenegro Friendship Summit" will bring together prominent figures from politics, business, art, and academia to discuss strategic cooperation between the two countries.
